September 3rd, 2024

On August 17, 2024 at the The Church of All Nations in Boca Raton, Florida, Richard Powers was awarded with the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his unwavering commitment to volunteer service. TGI and iPower are thrilled to celebrate Rich’s accomplishment.

Those honored for their contribution to our nation included judges, doctors, lawyers, educators, business leaders and outstanding citizens. Among them was iPower Technologies’ Sales Manager, Rich Powers. Rich brings over 30 years’ experience, creating IT Office Solutions and Print Management Services for businesses. He is a powerful force in the workplace and uses his strong leadership skills, positive attitude, and tireless work ethic to encourage others to work hard and succeed. Richard is passionate about giving back to the community with active roles such as:

“The American story depends not on any one of us, not on some of us, but on all of us. I congratulate you on taking it upon yourself to contribute to the public good, and I’m proud to present you with the President’s Lifetime Achievement award in recognition of your 4,000 hours of service to this great Nation.

Throughout our country’s history, the American story has been strengthened by those who combine an optimism about what can be with resilience to turn that vision into reality. I know I’m not alone in recognizing that those who are willing to step up and volunteer in service of community and country are essential to the ongoing work of forming our more perfect union.

By sharing your time and passion, you are helping discover and deliver solutions to the challenges we face – solutions that we need now more than ever. We are living in a moment that calls for hope and light and love. Hope for our futures, light to see our way forward, and love for one another. Through your service, you are providing all three.

On behalf of the American people, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to you for your volunteer leadership, and encourage you to continue to answer the call to serve. The country is counting on you.”
-President Joseph R. Biden Jr.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) has had several variations over the years, including the President’s Volunteer Action Award in the 1980s. President George W. Bush created the current program in 2002, and announced it in his State of the Union address. In 2003, he established the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation through an executive order to recognize the contributions of Americans through service and civic engagement. The PVSA has continued under every administration since.

Congratulations Rich! Thank you for your service to our community. We are so glad to have you on our team!
